I have no idea who could've made that drawing. They must've been stalking her or something. I wonder if the Styx are going to catch her outside of her room. If they do, then she's in a lot of trouble.

Sarah had no idea who the old hag was, but then someone else screamed out her name and everything was quiet. Slowly, people started chanting her name as loud as possible. She didn't know any of them, but somehow they knew of her. She hurried through the crowds that had lined the streets. But then, someone threw a piece of paper at her that had her picture on it!
I wonder how those people knew who she was. Maybe they heard how she escaped from the Colonies and lived up above ground. They think that she's a hero or something. I also wonder how those people recognized her.

The story goes back to Sarah how , one night, she snuck out of the place the Styx were keepng her. She made it outside and to the Rookeries, the slums of the Colonies. She was making her way through, remebering how she and Tam used to run through there as kids. Then a woman called out her name! Sarah turned around and saw an old hag pointing at her.
I thinmk tht the hag must be someone Sarah knows. If not, then that would be very strange. But now everyone will know that she's there pretty soon, considereing howw loud the hag said her nname. Someone would probably recognize her.

Will hasn't gone on another patrol with Elliot since that one day when he yelled at her. Instead, she and Chester have been talking together and have become really good friends. Will is getting jealous. When Drake was showing them all how to shoot with little silver pistols, Chester hit the center of the target he was shooting. Elliot was impressed, and Will got even more jealous.
I think that Will doesn't like how his best friend is getting all of the attention from Elliot. He doesn't like how his friend is moving away from him too. I wonder what they have been talking about together. I also wonder if Elliot is going to forgive Will for yelling at her.

Drake thinks that the Limiters are looking for Will. Will doesn't know why, but they must be. Then it comes time to get to a new hideout. Drake and Elliot trap the old one, so that when someone tries to get in to it, it will blow up. They travel many miles down to where the next hideout is, which is in a lava tube. They see someone who Drake knew, but who is evil and disfigured from the radiation that you find in the Deeps sometimes. He works for the Styx, so they stay as far away from him as they can.
I wonder if the evil dude will tell the Styx that he saw them. He probably will to get payed. I don't think that that's cool at all. Let's hope that they won't get caught.

Back at the hideout, Will asked Drake why the Limiters were killing off Coprolites. He said that every now and then they had to do some population control. But lately, they have been killing more and more. It looks like they think that the Coprolites are hiding someone. So they are going to keep killing them until they find that someone. Drake asks what Will is doing down in the Deeps, and when he finds out, he thinks he knows why the Limiters are killing all the Coprolites.
I think that the Limiters are looking for Will, Chester, and Cal. They are fugitives from the Colonies, and the Styx want them back. I wonder if they will ever go back. Or be allowed to go back, which doesn't appear likely.

Will was able to get his other foot in a good position so he wouldn't slip. Then the Limiters went away and they came out of hiding. One of Will's fingers accidentally pushed through the dead Coprolite's suit to the rotten flesh underneath. Then Elliot started to ell at him and saying that he almost gotten them killed. Then he yelled back and said that it wasn't his fault. Then Elliot said that if he ever spoke to her like that again, then she would leave him. They were quiet the rest of the way.
I think that Elliot really doesn't like Will. It wasn't his fault that the body started to give way. I wonder if they will ever be able to be friends again. I hope so, because Will will need her.

One day in the Deeps, will went on a patrol with Elliot. They were walking for a bit and then found a bunch of Coprolite bodies. They werte rotting and a few were nailed to stakes. Just then a group of Limiters came with one of their Stalkers, the hunting dogs they use. So Will and Elliot had to get behind the rotting corpses and climb up onto the stakes so they wouldn't get caught. After a few minutes of the Limiters just standind there talking and enjoying their handiwork, Will started to slip!
I think that Will might be seen and then he and Elliot will have to make a run for it. Unless if Elliot betrays him and let's him get killed. She has a rifle too, so if she betrayed him that wouldn't be cool. I wonder when and if Cal's leg will get better.

Cal started to stop coughing and fall back asleep. So Drake kept slapping him as hard as he could, yelling at him, and dunking his head back under water. Then Cal eventually woke up! They helped him to the hideout since he was still a little weak. One leg was still blue so he had to use a walking stick and exercise it constantly.
I think that Cal's leg will continue to get better. I also wonder where Drake and Elliot came from. They still haven't said. It doesn't appear like they're Colonists, so maybe they are Topsoilers.

Drake came running out of the cave with Cal. Cal was all blue and still wasn't breathing. Drake ran down to a nearby canal and pushed Cal's head ubderwater. Then he pulled him out and started to slap him as had as he could. He siad that shock was the onl way to save. Then Cal started to cough!
I think that Will is going to trust Drake a lot more now. He has saved his seemingly dead brother. I think that Will will also be happier. His brother is back, but I think that he will be a little week.

Drake, Will, Elliot, and Chester quickly made their way over to the cave where Cal weas thought to have died in. Drake said that it was a sugar trap that Cal walked into. It realeases white spores that paralyze you. Then it slowly digests you. They made it to the cavern which still had white spores floating around. Then Drake ran in to try and get Cal out.
I think that Drake might barely make it out. If he does, then Cal might barely be alive. I wonder how Drake will get Cal to get moving again. If he's still alive.

Will and Chester followed Drake to their camp. Elliot didn't talk much and would sometimes go ahead and scout or stay back to see if they were being followed or not. They made it to an octagonal room where they told Drake what happened to Cal. Then Drake told them to get ready to leave because there might be a slim chance to save Cal.
I think that they will be able to save Cal. If not, that sucks. I guess that Drake and Elliot are good guys. They are like some freedom fighter people who are at war with the Styx.

The people who grabbed Will and Chester put their hands over Will and Chester's mouths. They pulled them back and blindfolded them. Then they led them a bit away from the crater. They took off Will and Chester's blindfolds and asked them who they were. The people who kidnapped the boys was a man and a teenage girl. Their names were Drake and Elliot.
I think that Drake and Elliot are going to help them. They might join together to find Will's father and maybe even save Cal, if possible. I hope that they are good guys. If they haven't killed them yet, then they probably are.

Will and Chester were silent while walking through the Deeps. They eventually came upon a crater where they heard some noise. They quietly peaked over the side and saw something terrible. They saw Limiters killing Coprolites. They lined them up and shot them with rifles that had what looked like they had night vision scopes on them. Just then Will and Chester were grabbed from behind!
I think that they were caught by Limiters. I don't know why they didn't just shoot them like they did with the Coprolites. I wonder why they even shot the Coprolites in the first place. It's probably because they're evil.

The pipe things started to move around and Cal fell off of the one he was climbing on. They started to run back into the small tunnel they came from right as the pipes started to release white spores. Cal wasn't fast enough and breathed in some of the spores. He then fell back down and his veins in his face turned all blue. Will tried to get him out but couldn't find a pulse, so he had to leave him.
I think that Cal is still alive. It wouldn't be cool if he just died like that. But if he is dead, that really sucks. Now Will and Chester will be really lost.

Sarah went underground to find her sons. She went into the Deeps, wearing the armor off a Limiter. The Limiters are the Styx soldiers. Meanwhile, Will and the others were walking through the hundreds of miles of the Deeps. They found a cavern where a bunch of pipe like things were. Cal started to climb them, and they started to move!

I wonder what the pipe things are? Maybe they are animals. Or it might be something man-made, like a trap or some water pipes. But they don't use pipes like Topsoilers do, and Topsoilers can't dig that far.

Will and Cal's mother's name is Sarah. She went to a tunnel that Will once dug. When she got there, the man who put the letter in the secret mailbox was there. Apparently he thought that Will had killed Tam too, because the Styx told him. They want Sarah to help hunt down Will. She reluctantly agreed, mostly because she wanted to avenge her brother's death.
I think that the Styx are pretty good liars. They either got Tam's friend to believe what they told him, or they are paying him. I think that he's getting paid, but I don't know for sure. I can't believe that Sarah would actually believe them.

Dear Ms. Kugler,

Cal said that it was unusual for a Coprolite to take interest in people but they ignored it and moved on. Then the next chapter talks about how his dad is also in the Deeps. He has found a Coprolite village and was living there. He studied them and worked with them and they didn't seem to mind. He was the one on the Coprolite boat who was looking at Will but since they all wore suits with glowing orbs in the eyes, neither Will, Cal, nor Chester could tell that it was Will's father, and Will's father couldn't tell who they were. So they still haven't found each other.

I think that Will and the others will find the village that Dr. Burrows is in. Then they will find a way to get back to the surface and hide from the Styx. They will still have to find Will's mother. That might be hard.

                             Will, Cal, and Chester were going deeper into the Deeps.  They traveled for a couple of days without seeing much of anything.  Then they found an underground river and saw some strange people.  Cal said that they were called Comprolites.  They live in the Deeps and aren't very smart.  They won't bother you or acknowledge your presence, but strangely, one of the Coprolites seemed interested and was looking right at them!

                            I think that Will will find his father soon.  Then they will stay underground and explore some more.  Then Will's mother might come and try to hurt/kill him.  Then she will find out that she was lied to.

Dear Ms. Kugler,
                         Will and Cal later found Chester by the back of the train. The friends then ate fruit and slept until the train stopped hours later. They quietly got off and made it into the tunnels. Meanwhile, Will and Cal's mother who everyone thought was dead or hiding really well, was in London disguising herself by changing her name, her hair color, and the way she dresses. She was going to a place where her brother Tam usually put letters so she knew how everything is doing underground. But when she gets there, somebody else who was Tam's friend put the letters there instead. The letters said that Will went underground and killed Tam and he's forcing Cal to come along.
                         I think that Will and Cal's mom will believe what the letters say. She will go and find them and possibly try to kill Will. Then she will find out the truth and bee mad at whoever tricked her. Maybe the Styx are the ones who wrote the letter.

There was a bunch of smoke blowing at them from the front of the train and Will decided to get some boxes and make a makeshift camp.
I think that Will is going to find Chester soon. I hope that he does. If he doesn't, then he would have to sometime find him, or else that wouldn't be cool.

The boys and Imago slept and ate for the next couple days in there until they were ready. Imago shook the boys awake and told them to get ready to jump. They got on there stuff and Imago opened a trap door. They heard a rumbling noise after a while and Imago told them that it was the train that led to the Deeps that Chester would be on. A few minutes later it was under the door. He said that he was going somewhere else and helped push them down.
I wonder if the boys are going to make and where Imago is going. I hope that he will come back, or they might get lost.

Tam and the Styx fought. Tam got pretty hurt, but was able to cut open the Styx's throat. The one Styx died and his comrades were shocked. It gave the others a chance to escape. They didn't get very far though. Tam decided to hold them off to get the others to go. He took his friend's machete and waited for them to come. The others followed his friend, Imago, into a crevice.
I hope that Tam doesn't die, even though he probably will. That would suck. Then the boys won't have anyone else they know.

Will and Cal both ran back into the fog as fast as they could. They ran around a few buildings when strong hands reached out and grabbed them by the mouth. It was uncle Tam! He and his friend led them out near the maze, but a few Styx were already there waiting for them. Uncle Tam took out a machete and a Styx who he already knew since he was always spying on Tam came out of a crowd with two miniature scythes.
I wonder if uncle Tam will win, since they're obviously going to fight. If he does, then they might be able to make it out alive.

They went back underground and had to go back through the city. There was even more fog this time, but they both came prepared with gas masks and firecrackers, just in case there were Styx. When they did, they saw several Styx with hunting dogs only a few yards away.
I wonder if they will make it away from the Styx and how. If they do, it would be a miracle.

Will barely made it to the end of the city. He was finding it hard to breath and he was really hot. They stayed at his former house which his mom sold a while ago. They bought some food with the money he could find and stayed there a few days as he healed. He had to also find something for Cal and Bartelby to wear so they didn't look so out of place. He gave them both sunglasses after that so the sun won't hurt their eyes as much. Then they left because some they ran out of money. They then went to Will's aunt's house so that they could stay there for a bit. That's also where Rebecca was staying.
I wonder if they could get Rebecca to help them and if Will will get better. I hope that they get someone else to help them so they won't be so lonely with only each other.

Will let Cal come along since a bunch of Styx were coming. They had to lift up a heavy air tight door to get to the maze. Will and Cal made it through but the Styx got a hold of Chester. Will and the Styx had a tug-of-war, but the door was coming back down so Will had to let go of Chester to keep him from getting crushed. He promised he'd be back though and left. It took a few hours until they reached the city. Cal had the only gas mask because Will's got lost back in the fight with the Styx. Then Will started to feel out of breath and woozy.
I wonder if Will had gotten infected with the disease or something else. Or if he's going to live or not. He probably will since he's the main character.

Dear Ms. Kugler,
Will got help from his uncle, Tam, who gave him a map to the surface. The Styx really hated it when people escaped and had agents on the surface to either bring them back or kill them if they somehow managed to get through the tight security. The only person to make it out alive and possibly, since no one's sure, stay alive, is Will's mother Sarah. Will first hit a sheriff on the head with a shovel to break Chester out of jail and then Will was finally able to make it to a door which led to a maze of tunnels that ended in an abandoned city with a path to the surface. You have to wear a gas mask inside because there is a deadly disease in the city. The chapter ends when Will finds out that Cal had been following him the whole time with his oversized cat named Bartelby.
I wonder if Will will let Cal go with him to the surface. I also wonder if anyone will get sick with the disease. If they do, then they will probably die.

Will's birth name was actually Seth. He also had to start a job mining in an underground water pipe to help clear it. Cal also had a job, along with many other kids in the Colony. Will asked if any one had seen his dad and some people had. They said that he went to the Deeps, which is where they banish people to. So Will was going to try to escape the Colony to go to the surface and after a while, he would go to the Deeps. He wanted to see his family first to tell them that he was alright.
I wonder if he will be able to escape to the surface. If not, that sucks.

The two people were telling the truth! They were able to take him out of jail, but they couldn't get Chester out. They said that his real mother ran away with him and got him out of the Colony, as it's called. He was then adopted by people from above ground, called Topsoilers. So they took him to their house, where he met his grandma and uncle. They didn't live in Will's father's house though, where they went. They just came to visit. Will's brother's name is Caleb, but most people call him Cal.
I wonder if they will be able to get Chester out of jail. I also wonder if Will will ever be able to see his Topsoiler family again.

The sheriff took away their stuff and threw them in a small and pitch black cell in some prison. Then they met people who were the leaders of these people apparently who were called the Styx. They used something called the Dark Light that lets them get into your head to learn things on Will and Chester. It's very painful and makes you pass out and vomit. They kept asking for his real name, why he's there, and other things like that. One day, a boy came to the prison and said that he was his brother. He also came with a man who said that he was Will's real father.
I wonder if those people are telling the truth. If they are, that would be really weird.

When they opened the door, they found a miner's elevator. They pulled the lever and waited a few minutes for it to come up from where ever it was. They got in, went down, and found another door that looked air tight. They opened it and found a cobblestone street. They followed it and found that there were houses lining the street. They went up to one and were about to knock when it opened by itself. They looked inside and found a fire place and a bowl of soup on a table that was still warm. They went back outside and a wagon getting pulled by two horses came by. Someone reached down and pulled them up. He had a star on his blue shirt, and appeared to be a sheriff. He was taking them to jail for breaking into a house.
I wonder if the sheriff will let them out. And when. They will need to get out soon to find Will's father.

Dear Ms. Kugler,
Dr. Burrows sent the sphere over to a professor who will study it. Then Dr. Burrows goes missing. No one can find him, and the police do a thorough investigation. Will decides to try and look for him with Chester. They find his journal and a secret passageway behind Dr. Burrows' bookshelf. It appeared to be a tunnel that had been filled in from wherever it lead to. So Will and Chester started to dig it out at night when no one was around. It took them a few weeks, but they finally did. It led to a wide cavern with a hunk of machinery in the center. There were lots of stalagmites and stalactites. They also saw a rat with no eyes. Eventually, they got to the end of the cave where there was a big steel door. They opened it and the chapter ended.
I think that there will be something pretty cool behind the door. If it's underground and it has a bunch of locks, then it's important too.

This is about a boy named Will and his best and only friend Chester. He and his dad like to dig a lot. But Will's dad, Dr. Burrows, starts seeing strange men in flat caps wearing long coats and sunglasses, in any weather or any time. He starts to get curious and decides to follow one of them he sees around. The man walks into an alleyway after he followed him for a bit, and disappears. He writes about them in a journal, and then an old man comes to the museum he works at a bit later. His name is Oliver and he shows Dr. Burrows a strange glowing sphere inside a metal cage that a friend of his found while some workers were doing some work on her basement. It has a liquid inside that glows when it's dark, and it turns as black as oil in light.

I like this book. I just got it from Borders along with the second book. I think that I might like the second book too. I will probably finish it soon.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians Book Five: The Last Olympian. Pages read: 150 ( 65 mins)

Percy was able to get to Mount Olympus while the gods were out fighting the Titans. He and the rest of Camp Half-Blood had to defend it from Kronos and his army. Percy had to fight against a different Titan that had stayed with Kronos. He was able to defeat him, but then he had to fight against a giant flying pig called a sow. He was able to defeat it with the help of a pegasus named Blackjack.

I have finished the book. I am going to soon finish blogging about it. Next I am going to read a different Pendragon book. It has arrived at the library.

I read this from a book that has a bunch of Sci-Fi stories. This one is about a girl from the future going back in time to the Upper Cambrian era to try and make sure that humans will still be the dominant species. She has a lottery machine that shows who will be the dominant species in the future. She puts some balls in it that have pictures of the animals on them. She puts them in to see who will survive throughout the ages. It is human's ancestor who makes it. She puts some of the slug-like animals into the mud at the bottom of the ancient ocean and then gets attacked by another animal. She forgot her harpoon in the boat, but she's still able to get to the boat. As she gets ready to get back to the time machine, she sees another light coming towards her. It's a strange-looking boat that she sees someone or something in. It has a round head, and she realizes that it is a protective suit. The ship releases several other animals into the sea and leaves. She sees that it let go the predator who hunts her ancestors. "So humans aren't the only ones who can cheat the past", she says to herself. Slowly she starts to disappear, along with all of the stuff she brought with her. In just a few seconds, the last human is gone from the Earth.

I think that this is a weird story. It wouldn't be cool if that really happened though. There are 9 stories in this book. IIIIIII AAAAAAMMMMMMMMMM AAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEESSSOOOMMMMMMMEEEE

Percy Jackson and the Olympians Book Five: The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan. Genre: Fantasy. Pages read: 102 ( 45 mins)

Percy had to go on a mission with another demigod. They had to try and stop Kronos before he destroyed the gods and took over Mount Olympus in New York. He was on a cruise ship and Percy and his friend had to place a bomb on it. They got trapped by monsters though and Percy tried to distract them. His friend planted the bomb but got captured. Percy also got captured, and they both got taken to Kronos. He had to fight him, but his friend told him to jump overboard. There was no other choice, so he did and got far enough away so that he didn't get caught in the explosion. So his friend had bravely sacrificed himself to save Mount Olympus.

I like these books. The author is creative and funny. Unfortunately, this is the last book in the series. I wish that he would make more.

My Brother Sam Is Dead. Pages read: 67 ( 45 mins)

Tim was able to visit Sam. But Sam had to leave so he didn't stay very long. Then Tim got visited by one of the richest guys in town named Mr. Heron. He asked Tim to give some business letters to a friend several miles away. His father said no, but Tim said that he was going fishing a few days later and visited Mr. Heron. He gave Tim the letter, but then Betsy Read, Sam's friend, followed him and said that the letter was a spy report on Sam. She was able to wrestle it away from Tim. She was opening it while she was running away, and threw back the letter. It said that if the letter arrives, then they can trust the messenger.

I am going to finish the book soon. I would finish it sooner, but Ms. Mclaughlin said no. I thought that this might be a boring book, but it's not. Usually historical books are pretty boring. No offense Mr. Knarr.

My Brother Sam Is Dead by James Lincoln Collier and Christopher Collier. Genre: Historical Fiction. Pages read: 46 (45 mins)

I found 1 vocabulary word. It is shad. A shad is a Any of several food fishes of the genus Alosa, especially the North American species A. sapidissima, related to the herrings but atypical in swimming up streams from marine waters to spawn.

I am reading this for English. It is so far about a boy named Tim who's older brother Sam has joined the Rebels. His dad is a Loyalist though. Sam had a fight with his father. Then Sam ran away and hid up at an Indian's teepee. Then no one heard from him for a while. Now the chapter ended where Tim was about to go visit Sam.

I like this book. It is pretty good. I wonder if his dad will catch him visiting Sam. He would get in a lot of trouble if he did.

Leven was able  to get to the tree. He had to cut it down with a special ax and on almost every chop, he passed out. It was painful for him to but he finally did and saved both Foo and Reality (you'll have to read the series to know what I'm talking about because it's too hard to explain and it's too long.) Geth got the missing part of him and they were able to save everyone.

I am now going to blog on the other books I got for Christmas. I got three and I already read them. The author is now going to make a new series soon. Poor Cody got all of his blogs deleted.

Leven Thumps and the Ruins of Alder by Obert Skye. Genre: Fantasy. Pages read: 196 ( 45 min)

A boy named Leven Thumps has been put on the island of Alder. He has to look for the oldest tree and find out how to save the world. Meanwhile, his friends are trying to get to Reality to see what they can do from there. They can't get to Leven but they can still help him. Geth is going to go find the missing part of him he lost long ago.

I like this sereis of books. This is the last one though. I got it for Christmas. I like how creative the author is.

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Genre: Fiction. Pages read: 21 ( 45 mins)

Ebenezer Scrooge is one of the meanest business men. It's Christmas Eve and he hates Christmas. Now his partner has now been dead for 7 years and Scrooge is very rich. He is very greedy and doesn't care about anyone but himself. When he got home, he was visited by his dead partner's, Marley's, ghost. He was bound in chains and said we wanted to save Scrooge from the same fate. He said that he will be visited by the 3 ghosts of Christmas the next night, and Scrooge fell asleep as Marley drifted out the window.

I think this book is OK. It uses a lot of old school words though. I am going to read the next stave for class soon. It is for English.
